Sugita Junzaburo (杉田浮三郎) is a Captain of the Fuso Navy who was once the captain of the Akagi. He returned to Fuso after the loss of the Akagi in the battle against the Warlock. He worked at the Naval Academy for a short while, but when the European support operation was launched, he became the captain of the Yamato. Originally, a Rear Admiral was appointed as the General Commander of the support fleet, but he got injured on the flagship Atago, and Junzaburo was temporarily appointed General Commander of the support fleet.
He graduated from a high-class artillery school and successively served as the Chief Gunnery Officer of the heavy cruiser Mogami and the battleship Haruna. He is considered an excellent gunner by those around him. He has a high sense of duty and will stop at nothing to accomplish his mission, but sometimes as a tendency to resign too soon. He is a rationalist and has good crisis management skills, but he seems to have an excessive attachment to witches.
