Elma Leivonen (エルマ・レイヴォネン) is a witch of the 507th Joint Fighter Wing, originating from Suomus.
Background[]
A Flying Officer from the Suomus Air Force, Elma was the previous squadron commander of the Suomus Independent Volunteer Air Squadron, but handed her position over to Tomoko after the fall of Slussen.
Even though she lacks self-confidence and is therefore constantly apologising, there is no doubt about her natural aerial ability.
She is on junior/senior terms with Eila Ilmatar Juutilainen.
Personality[]
Elma is a timid and clumsy girl who is constantly falling over, but she tries her best to be supporting and positive.

- Her familiar is a mink.
- Elma has no known archetype. Yamaguchi Noboru, the author of the Suomus Misfits novels, said himself that Elma was not based on an existing archetype.[4] She was speculated to be based on the third highest-scoring Finnish ace Eino Luukkanen before a witch named Eini Luukkanen was introduced in the Witches of Aurora manga.
- According to Mika Ahonen, Elma's callsign was "Skylark"(Hibari /ひばり) prior to becoming a member of the Suomus Air Force Independent Volunteer Squadron.
